Thanks Kieffer for the invite! All I knew was I am invited to a mooncake launch, little did I know I was about to discover the dream mooncake at a durian party! It was a delightful afternoon at the balcony of SEAR, located at level 45th of Fifty Raffles Place. We were greeted by the lovely display of charcoal mooncakes, its classy packaging and welcoming smiles of staff from SEAR and Golden Moments.
As a huge fan of durians, I instantly fell in love with this dazzling delicacy at my first bite. The mooncake skin is light and soft with each mouthful packed with decadent Mao Shan Wang durian flesh, it felt as if I was eating the whole durian itself! It was simply a sweet indulgence! We were told to store the box of 4 durians in the freezer, rather than the refrigerator compartment because it is made purely from soft and creamy durian flesh.
Golden Moments, as its name suggests, is the brainchild of 3 young Singaporeans who wishes to bring families closer through lovingly handcrafted durian mooncakes. The trio introduced a new social movement, close to their hearts, to spread awareness and advocate the message “Treasure Golden Family Time (#TGFT)” through reconnecting with family members.
Each box of 4 mooncakes comes with a Love Card that encourages one to pen down heartfelt messages and show appreciation for their loved ones.
The #TGFT’ site (www.goldenmoments.sg/tgft) also offers an ingenious Love Card service that allows you to mail a personalised surprise card to your loved ones with a message of love. The team at Golden Moments will put together this card, which includes a photograph of yourself/ with your family.
